I definitely have to agree with your posting. I took a class in block one called parent involvement. there are plenty of reasons why parents may not want to come into the classroom, and likewise, why teachers may not want parents in the classroom. There are several ways to help get teachers and parents more involved in school and home life. I posted a blog about neglect and abuse. In a situation like this, it's very likely the parent will not want to come in, but trying to keep constant contact with the parent will let them know that you are watching them. Hopefully this does not happen to our students. but it will be these parents who refuse to come into the classroom.
